Keeping with tradition, the Dave Matthews Band will spend the summer on the road in North America. So far, 49 dates have been announced, beginning May 30 in Maryland Heights, Mo., and running through a Sept. 22-23 stand in the group`s Charlottesville, Va., home base. Tickets for most shows go on sale April 8.

Highlights of the itinerary include a second annual weekend-long stand at New York`s Randall`s Island, a trio of dates at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., and the band`s debut appearance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. O.A.R., G. Love & Special Sauce and Matisyahu will open at various points during the tour.

As previously reported, DMB will also perform at the 2006 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival during the first weekend, April 28-30. The group is fresh off headlining its inaugural Dave Matthews & Friends Caribbean Cruise Getaway, which sailed from Feb. 3-6.

DMB raked in $45 million from touring last year, which ranked No. 8 on the 2005 year-end the Billboard Boxcore chart. Its haul of more than $59 million from ticket and album sales ranked the band No. 11 on the inaugural Billboard Money Makers chart.

Look for a Matthews guest appearance on the upcoming Robert Randolph and the Family Band album, due in May via Warner Bros.
